Environment: Respondus LockDown for Windows
Purpose: How to install and use Respondus LockDown for Windows
ENSURE THAT YOUR COMPUTER OPERATING SYSTEM IS UP TO DATE.
1. Go to the Respondus website:
https://www.respondus.com/lockdown/download.php?id=563150808
2. Click Install Now:
3. Lockdown Browser will download:
4. Click on the download. A pop-up will appear asking "Do you want this program to make changes to this computer". Choose Yes.
5. Continue with the install wizard:
a. Choose your preferred language
b. Agree to the terms and conditions
c. Click finish
6. Lockdown browser will appear on your desktop:
7. Go to your Moodle course ON A REGULAR BROWSER SUCH AS CHROME OR FIREFOX and choose the test that says "Requires Respondus Lockdown Browser":
8. Click Launch Lockdown Browser:
9. Open Lockdown Browser:
10. The Lockdown Browser will now launch. You must complete the test in the Lockdown Browser. When you have submitted your test, exit out of the browser.
